For their series 2, Anest collective gave carte blanche to photographer Jack Davison, interested to see their latest collection through his idiosyncratic eye. Davison creates a poetic dialogue with his subjects as they move around a set of artful installations conceived by Rachel Thomas. The self-taught Davison, who has always been drawn to surreal and immersive worlds, has a love of discarded or ‘found’ photographs. He offers the viewer an almost private view of his subjects, building an image from an angle left unnoticed by others and with a playfulness that turns humble materials into tools of abstraction and beauty.
